The Denville Rotary offers five annual awards
of $1,000 to graduating seniors attending Morris Knolls, Morris
Catholic, and Morris County Vocational – Technical School. Four of
the awards are given to those students from Morris Knolls and Morris
Catholic. The fifth is given to a student from Morris County
Vocational – Technical School.
All applications are secured from the
Guidance Department of each respective school. The applications are
screened by the Guidance Department and the Rotary Scholarship
Committee interviews the final applicants.

1.
Eligibility:
A.
Resident of Denville, New Jersey for at least one year as of
the date of high school graduation.
B.
Academically have an 80% average or better at the mid point
of the senior year.
C.
Must have a positive attitude with a continual desire to
improve and achieve excellence.
D.
Indicates a need for financial assistance to achieve goal.
E.
Good all around high school record, including participation
in extra-curricular activities with emphasis on service to the
school and to the community.
F.
Planning to attend a four-year degree granting college or
university.
G.
In the opinion of the school administration, have good
college potential.
2.
Procedure:
A.
Four nominations, two boys and two girls, will be made by
both Morris Knolls High School and Morris Catholic High School prior
to February 1st of each year. These nominations are to be
made in writing to the Chairman of the Student Aid Committee of the
Rotary Club of Denville, and include all pertinent information to
support the nominations of each student – class rankings,
scholastic records, college board scores, extra-curricular
activities, etc. One nomination is made from Morris County
Vocational – Technical School.
B.
If, in fact, or in the opinion of the school administration
of either school, there are less than four eligible candidates for
this award, fewer nominations may be made.
C.
Upon receipt of the nominations, the Student Aid Committee
will notify each nominee in writing of his/her selection.
D.
After receipt of the completed Selection Information Forms,
the Student Aid Committee will review each student’s record and
personally interview each of the candidates.
E.
Prior to June 1st of each year, the Student Aid
Committee will notify the school and the student, in writing of
their selections.
F.
Payment of the grant will be made to the recipient.
